Soccer Game Preview: Thomas Jefferson vs. Palmer Ridge

The Thomas Jefferson Spartans will head out to take on the Palmer Ridge Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Thomas Jefferson is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Thursday, they were much more limited against Arapahoe on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Warriors. While losing is never fun, Thomas Jefferson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Arapahoe are ranked 28th).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Palmer Ridge made sure to put some goals up on the board against Lewis-Palmer on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Rangers with a sharp 6-1 victory. Teagan Porterfield was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

The win (which was Palmer Ridge's fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four matchups. As for Thomas Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-4.
