Softball Game Preview: Agua Fria Owls vs. Peoria Panthers

The Agua Fria Owls will head out on the road to square off against the Peoria Panthers at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Agua Fria is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 20 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Prescott on Thursday. They came up short against the Badgers, falling 19-1.

Meanwhile, Peoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 36th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 10-3 to Cactus.

Peoria saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anieah Lewis, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

Agua Fria's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Peoria, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.

Everything went Agua Fria's way against Peoria in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Agua Fria made off with a 23-12 victory. Will the Owls repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
