St. Mary's Academy is 8-2 against Stargate School since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home court against the Eagles at 6:15 p.m.

St. Mary's Academy managed to slip by Forge Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Fury on Monday.

St. Mary's Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-8, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Stargate School got the win against Jefferson Academy on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

While Stargate School won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22, 25-14.

St. Mary's Academy's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-9. As for Stargate School, their win bumped their record up to 18-2.

St. Mary's Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Stargate School in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
