Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for American Christian School

American Christian School won against Trinity Christian last Monday with 46 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. American Christian School sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-43 win over Kearny Christian Academy. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-38 two weeks ago.

Despite the loss, Kearny Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Leo Kargbo posted 23 points. That was a full 53.5% of Kearny Christian Academy's points, marking the ninth time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Joshua Lima, who scored seven points and ten rebounds.

The victory (which was American Christian School's third in a row) raised their record to 8-4. As for Kearny Christian Academy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-6 record.

American Christian School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-44 win against Abundant Life Academy on the 1st. As for Kearny Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Warren County Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
