South Decatur dropped their record down to 7-7 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 17-2 to the Morristown Yellow Jackets. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Cougars couldn't push the score so high this time.

South Decatur saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lydia Witkemper, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

As for Morristown, the victory got them back to even at 7-7. The result was nothing new for the Yellow Jackets, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

On Morristown's side, the team relied heavily on Nevaeh Cox, who went 1-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Cox has posted since back in April. Kayla Cox also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

South Decatur wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 16-0 win against Crothersville on the 12th. As for Morristown, they have also already played their next game, a 15-0 loss against Triton Central on the 10th.
