Soccer Recap: Porter Has No Trouble Against Mercedes

The matchup between Porter and Mercedes on Friday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Porter Cowboys never let the Mercedes Tigers onto the board and left with an 8-0 win. That eight goal margin sets a new team best for the Cowboys this season.

Porter is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matchups. As for Mercedes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
