Softball Recap: Shelby Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

Shelby won the last time they faced Pleasant and things went their way on Tuesday too. Shelby put the hurt on Pleasant with a sharp 13-2 win. That's two games straight that the Whippets have won by exactly 11 runs.

Alyssa Booker spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Natalie Kennard, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-4. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Karlie Walp, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Shelby's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.
