Baseball Recap: Wayne Valley Takes a Loss

Wayne Valley was the 5-4 winner over Teaneck when they last played one another back in June of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highwaymen on Saturday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Josh Gonzalez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Wayne Valley is 4-2 when Gonzalez posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Michael Kamper was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Wayne Valley's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Teaneck, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season.

Wayne Valley will challenge Northern Highlands at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Teaneck does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
