Baseball Recap: Burbank Takes a Loss

After flying high against Navarro on Friday, Burbank came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell just short of the South San Antonio Bobcats by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 8-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Mason Rendon was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

Burbank now has a losing record of 2-3. As for South San Antonio, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Burbank will be playing at home against John F. Kennedy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rockets have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for South San Antonio, they will head out to take on Southwest Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
