Volleyball Recap: Geibel Catholic Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Geibel Catholic lost against Mapletown back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Gators fell just short of the Maples by a score of 3-2.

Geibel Catholic took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 22-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-13.

Mapletown was led to victory by Leona Liggett and Treslee Weston. Liggett had nine digs and five aces, while Weston had 14 kills, six digs, and two aces.

Geibel Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mapletown, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Geibel Catholic will head out to take on Leechburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mapletown, they will venture away from home to challenge California at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
