Basketball Recap: Esparto Takes a Loss

Esparto lost against San Juan back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Esparto was beaten by San Juan 64-32.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landon Yanez, who posted 15 points and six boards. Aiden Harden was another key player, putting up 12 points and six rebounds.

Esparto's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Esparto will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Creative Connections Arts Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 11. This will be the Spartans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for San Juan, they will venture away from home to square off against Williams at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
