Baseball Recap: Fort Wayne Wayne Finds Home Field Redemption Against Fort Wayne North Side

There's no place like home for Fort Wayne Wayne, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Fort Wayne North Side Legends a 15-0 shutout on Monday. With that win, the Generals brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Roman Murillo made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Fort Wayne Wayne is 2-1 when Murillo allows one or fewer hits, but 4-11 otherwise. Murillo was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cooper Richardson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Eric Echeverria was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
