Baseball Recap: Notus Takes a Loss

Notus scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 17-7 to the Gem State Adventist Academy Jaguars.

Owen Hicks made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Juan Villasenor, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs.

Notus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Gem State Adventist Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Notus will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Idaho City at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Gem State Adventist Academy, they will welcome North Star at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Jaguars will need to watch out since the Huskies have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
