Baseball Recap: Ayer Shirley Beats Narragansett Regional for Their Third Straight Victory

Ayer Shirley extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 6-7 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Narragansett Regional Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-0 back in April.

As for Narragansett Regional, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Narragansett Regional's part, Trey Richard stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. That home run marked the first that Richard has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Dupuis, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with six stolen bases.

Looking ahead, Ayer Shirley will head out on the road to challenge Gardner at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Narragansett Regional, they will host St. Bernard's Central Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
