Softball Recap: Kenmore West Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

Kenmore West took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Niagara Falls, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blue Devils never let the Wolverines get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Blue Devils: when they faced off against the Wolverines back in April, they had to take a 13-1 loss.

Not much got past Dani Hatch, who gave up just eight hits to keep Niagara Falls off the board.

On the hitting side, Kenmore West saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ally Foglia, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Foglia has hit this season.

Kenmore West pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Niagara Falls, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
