Volleyball Recap: Plainview Takes a Loss

Plainview came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Amarillo Sandies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sandies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-12, 25-8.

Plainview's loss dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Amarillo, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Plainview will face off against rival Lubbock-Cooper at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Amarillo is set to challenge their familiar foe Caprock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
