Baseball Recap: Fallbrook Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Fallbrook can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Valley Center Jaguars. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 6-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Mason Mendoza tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Nicolas Countreman was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Liam Mendez was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Fallbrook's win bumped their record up to 4-19-1. As for Valley Center, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 17 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-21 record this season.
