Volleyball Recap: Lehighton Comes Up Short

Lehighton lost against Marian Catholic back in September of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Indians came up short against Marian Catholic, falling 3-0.

Marian Catholic was led to victory by Caydense Smith and JoElle Currie. Smith had eight digs and three aces, while Currie had nine assists. That's the most aces Smith has posted over her last five matchups. Addy Marek also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Lehighton has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Marian Catholic, their record is now 17-6.

Lehighton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marian Catholic, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Pottsville on the 11th.
