Soccer Recap: Canton's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Thursday

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contest, Canton brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They never let the Walled Lake Central Vikings get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Thursday. Given Canton's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Walled Lake Central are ranked 209th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Canton now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Walled Lake Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6-5 record this season.

Canton will square off against Northville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Walled Lake Central, they will take on Walled Lake Western at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
