Soccer Game Preview: Escondido vs. Valley Center

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Escondido take on the Valley Center at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday... Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Escondido is headed into Tuesday's following a draw, the team's first since December 2. They and San Marcos finished up their game with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Escondido's goal came courtesy of Anthony Ramirez, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, Valley Center played to a draw too, finishing 0-0 against Fallbrook.

With that draw, Valley Center's record moves to 2-6-4. As for Escondido, they moved theirs to 12-2-2.

Everything went Escondido's way against Valley Center in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Escondido made off with a 3-0 win. Will Escondido repeat their success, or does Valley Center have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
