Belleville East is a perfect 7-0 against Althoff Catholic since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Lancers will face off against the Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. Belleville East is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

At the plate, Belleville East saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tommy Kramkowski, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Althoff Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Nashville on Friday and fell 6-5. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Cooper Zimmer was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Bo Gomric, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Althoff Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Belleville East, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-10.

Belleville East came out on top in a nail-biter against Althoff Catholic in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
