Gallia Academy extends road losing streak to four

Recap: Gallia Academy Blue Devils vs. Washington Blue Lions

The Gallia Academy Blue Devils's 18-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 64-42 walloping at the hands of Washington on Tuesday. Gallia Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-19.

Washington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was John Wall out in front who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Wall's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Haithcock, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Gallia Academy's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-7. As for Washington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gallia Academy is on the road again on Friday and play against Dawson-Bryant at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Dawson-Bryant is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Washington, they will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Ready at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Ready presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Washington in Ohio (Bishop Ready is ranked 50th, while Washington is ranked 138th).
