Basketball Recap: Rio Grande City Starts off Right with Win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo

Rio Grande City had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 50-41 victory over the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears on Tuesday.

Rio Grande City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Giovanni Valenciana, who posted 16 points. Noah Pena was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
