Soccer Game Preview: Emerson vs. Princeton

The Emerson Mavericks will hit the road for the first time this season to take on the Princeton Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

If Princeton heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Emerson took over last week. Emerson came out on top against El Dorado by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. The Mavericks' winning goal came courtesy of Lexi Cannatelli.

Emerson now has a winning record of 2-1.

As for Princeton, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished on the wrong side of .500 (6-11-3), but they'll be hoping to turn things around this year.

Emerson skirted past Princeton 1-0 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Will Emerson repeat their success, or does Princeton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
