Recap: Olean Huskies vs. Fredonia Hillbillies

The Olean Huskies posted their closest victory yet this season on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-48 win over Fredonia. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Olean also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Fredonia lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mike Hahn. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with six rebounds. RJ Koopman was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Olean's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Fredonia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olean will take on Salamanca at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Salamanca will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Fredonia, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Allegany-Limestone at 7:30 p.m. Allegany-Limestone is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
