Softball Recap: St. Paul Central Minutemen vs. Washington Tech Eagles
While St. Paul Central didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-8), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They never let the Washington Tech Eagles get on the board and left with a 19-0 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Minutemen in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.
Jonny LeRoux made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. LeRoux was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, Noe Christensen was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing eight bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Christensen is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Sonja Gupta also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
St. Paul Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .900. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
St. Paul Central's record now sits at 4-0. As for Washington Tech, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
