Basketball Recap: Darveon Wiley's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Potomac over Oxon Hill

Potomac was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 67-44 to the Oxon Hill Clippers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Clippers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-57 back in December of 2024.

Potomac lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Darveon Wiley, who posted eight points. Korie Cobham Jr was another key player, putting up ten points and six rebounds.

Oxon Hill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from William Johns, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Cole Scott, who put up 13 points.

Potomac's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Oxon Hill, their record is now 16-5.

Looking ahead, Potomac will take on Friendly at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oxon Hill, they will host Crossland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
