Basketball Recap: Lincoln County Red Devils vs. Harlem Bulldogs
Lincoln County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 67-64 heartbreaker at the hands of the Harlem Bulldogs. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (63), the Red Devils still had to take the loss.
Harlem found their leader in sophomore Gabe Williams, who went 8 for 12 on his way to 19 points and three steals. That's the most steals Williams has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Horatio Shaffer III, who went 9 of 13 en route to 18 points and five assists.
Lincoln County's record now sits at 5-10. As for Harlem, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln County and Hephzibah will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Lincoln County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Harlem, they will welcome Cross Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
