Basketball Recap: Camanche Takes a Loss

Camanche was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Bellevue Comets, falling 78-57. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 308th, while the Comets are ranked 152nd).

Camanche's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Bellevue, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Camanche will face off against Cascade at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Cascade's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Bellevue, they will take on Anamosa at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Bellevue is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
