After flying high against the Marion County Warriors last Friday, the Polk County Wildcats came back down to earth. Polk County had to suffer through a rough 72-37 loss at the hands of Sweetwater. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Polk County has scored all season.
Chris Alford continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Sweetwater, almost dropping a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Alford has scored at least a third of Sweetwater's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Burgess, who scored 11 points.
Polk County's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Sweetwater, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-14.
Polk County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sweetwater, they will take on Roane County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
