Baseball Recap: Nanih Waiya Takes a Loss

Nanih Waiya was the 9-8 winner over Choctaw County when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Nanih Waiya Warriors lost 13-2 to the Choctaw County Chargers on Saturday. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Nanih Waiya saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaleb Davis, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

This is the second loss in a row for Nanih Waiya and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Choctaw County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nanih Waiya will face off against Sebastopol at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nanih Waiya is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Choctaw County, they will be playing at home against West Point at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
