Bismarck had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Murfreesboro on Tuesday. The Lions put the hurt on the Rattlers with a sharp 14-8 win. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Bismarck has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Murfreesboro, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.

Looking ahead, Bismarck will challenge Centerpoint at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Murfreesboro, they will face off against Mount Ida at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rattlers will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least ten runs in their last seven matchups.
