JSerra Catholic had won six straight games and Darren Chi did his part to make it seven on Friday. The JSerra Catholic Lions came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Trabuco Hills Mustangs thanks in part to Chi, who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in April of 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day JSerra Catholic got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 23-25, 15-12.

JSerra Catholic's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Trabuco Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
