Soccer Game Preview: Sultan vs. Friday Harbor

The Sultan Turks are taking a road trip to square off against the Friday Harbor Wolverines at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Sultan has given up an average of 3.7 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Sultan fell victim to Mount Vernon Christian and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 8-0 to the Hurricanes. The defeat continues a trend for Sultan in their meetings with Mount Vernon Christian: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Friday Harbor didn't have quite enough to beat La Conner on Thursday and fell 4-3.

Friday Harbor's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Sultan, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-2.

Sultan came out on top in a nail-biter against Friday Harbor in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Turks since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
