Apisi Maile leads a balanced attack to beat Park City

Recap: Stansbury Stallions vs. Park City Miners

The Stansbury Stallions entered their tilt with the Park City Miners with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went Stansbury's way against the Miners on Monday as the Stallions made off with a 48-26 win. That's another feather in the cap for Stansbury, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Stansbury's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Apisi Maile, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Maile has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Jensen, who scored nine points along with six assists and six rebounds.

Stansbury's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-12. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Park City, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Stansbury will play host again and welcome the Spartans, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Park City, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Huskies at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. Hillcrest is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
