After a string of five wins, Hardin-Jefferson's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They lost to the Stafford Spartans on the road by a 54-38 margin.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aiden Price, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jhavon Williams, who earned five points.

Hardin-Jefferson now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Stafford, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Coming up, Hardin-Jefferson will be home for the holidays to greet Bridge City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks will be up against the Cardinals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Stafford and Ball will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
