Recap: Kossuth Aggies vs. New Site Royals
The Kossuth Aggies were the 61-56 winner over the New Site Royals when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Kossuth fell to New Site 45-41.
New Site was led to victory by Chloe Chism and Brooklyn Hodum. Chism dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Hodum scored 26 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hodum has scored at least 25% of New Site's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Moreland, who scored 6 points along with 3 steals.
Kossuth has yet to win a game at home this season, leaving them with a 6-4 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for New Site, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kossuth will take on Ripley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Ripley is ranked 100th, while Kossuth is ranked 80th). As for New Site, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mantachie at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mantachie is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
