Basketball Game Preview: Homedale Trojans vs. Cole Valley Christian Chargers

Homedale hasn't had much luck against Cole Valley Christian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Homedale Trojans will take on the Cole Valley Christian Chargers at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Homedale is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Fruitland on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Homedale had to suffer through a 64-34 loss at the hands of Fruitland. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trojans have suffered since December 10, 2024.

Meanwhile, Cole Valley Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 42-38 to McCall-Donnelly.

This is the second loss in a row for Homedale and nudges their season record down to 6-8. As for Cole Valley Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Homedale was dealt a bruising 59-16 loss at the hands of Cole Valley Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2019. Can Homedale avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
