Baseball Recap: Cascade Comes Up Short

Cascade had lost ten straight at home dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 3-12 to make it 11. They lost 27-0 to the Meadowdale Mavericks. If the Bruins were looking for revenge after losing 11-3 to the Mavericks when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Meadowdale, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Meadowdale's part, Nash Echelbarger made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave Echelbarger a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Cascade will head out to face off against Arlington at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Meadowdale, they will venture away from home to square off against Everett at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
