Soccer Game Preview: Aubrey Rogers vs. Oasis

The Aubrey Rogers Patriots will square off against the Oasis Sharks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Oasis better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Aubrey Rogers really get things going. Aubrey Rogers' defense stepped up to hand Cape Coral a 3-0 shutout on Thursday. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Seahawks are ranked 224th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Aubrey Rogers hit Cape Coral with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sheli Bershadski, Olivia Gelardi, and Kennedy Barnaby.

Meanwhile, Oasis made easy work of Golden Gate on Wednesday and carried off a 6-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sharks.

Oasis has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 61 goals over those 12 contests. As for Aubrey Rogers, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4-1.
