Baseball Recap: Knightdale Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Knightdale's offense. They came up short against the Rolesville Rams on Tuesday, falling 7-0. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

Knightdale's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Rolesville, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Knightdale will square off against Cary at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Imps have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.17 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Rolesville, they will face off against Willow Spring at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Storm will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight.
