Basketball Game Preview: Channelview Falcons vs. King Panthers

Channelview hasn't had much luck against King recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Channelview Falcons will head out to square off against the King Panthers at 1:00 p.m.

Channelview is headed into Saturday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Wednesday. They were dealt a 52-17 loss at the hands of Atascocita. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1312th, while the Eagles are ranked 365th).

Meanwhile, King hadn't done well against North Shore recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. King managed a 49-45 victory over North Shore. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers who have now won three matchups in a row.

King has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Channelview, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.

Channelview couldn't quite finish off King in their previous matchup back in February of 2019 and fell 45-43. Can Channelview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
