Softball Game Preview: Redington Huskies vs. Kenai Central Kardinals

For the first time this season, Redington will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Kenai Central Kardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Redington has now lost 13 straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since May 4.

Homer hit Redington with a seven-run second inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Huskies lost 10-1 to the Mariners.

Redington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Wilmoth, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Kenai Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against Sitka, falling 9-2.

Kenai Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Redington, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
