Soccer Recap: Buffalo Grove Comes Up Short

Buffalo Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Barrington Fillies/Broncos. While losing is never fun, Buffalo Grove can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Barrington are ranked 55th).

Buffalo Grove's loss dropped their record down to 1-12-3. As for Barrington, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4-2.

Looking ahead, Buffalo Grove will be playing in front of their home fans against Prospect at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prospect's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Barrington, they will square off against Palatine at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
