Baseball Recap: Lincoln Academy Comes Up Short

Lincoln Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Belfast on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 7-4 to the Lions. The defeat leaves the Eagles still looking for their first win of the season.

Ryan Powell was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Those RBI were his first of the season.

Lincoln Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Belfast, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Coming up, Lincoln Academy will be playing at home against Erskine Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Belfast, they will face off against John Bapst Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
