Softball Recap: Houston Comes Up Short

Houston had lost nine straight at home, but on Saturday they dropped down to 0-17 to make it ten. They came up short against the Kenai Central Kardinals, falling 33-8. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Kardinals this season, with their most recent defeat being a 17-2 loss on Saturday.

As for Kenai Central, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-11-1. The result was nothing new for the Kardinals, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Kenai Central's part, S Tomrdle was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, five runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Tomrdle has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of M Machado, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

As of now, neither Houston nor Kenai Central have any future games scheduled.
