Volleyball Recap: Silver Creek Takes a Loss

Silver Creek was the 0-0 winner over Ann Sobrato when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Silver Creek actually scored more points across those five sets (104-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-21, 15-12.

Ann Sobrato can attribute much of their success to Jordyn Scettrini, who had 14 digs and two aces. Those 14 digs gave Scettrini a new career-high.

Silver Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Ann Sobrato, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-17.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Silver Creek will face off against rival Leigh at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ann Sobrato is set to challenge their familiar foe Christopher at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
