Baseball Preview: Grove City Eagles vs. Franklin Knights        
        
		
            
 After two games on the road, Grove City is heading back home. They will take on the Franklin Knights at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
 While Grove City has not struggled against Slippery Rock recently, they managed to flip the script  on Saturday. Grove City came out on top in a nail-biter against Slippery Rock  and snuck past  12-10. Grove City's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 The team  relied heavily on  Bode Stevenson, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ethan Adams, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 Meanwhile,  it may have taken  nine innings to finish the job, but Franklin ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Saturday. They skirted past Conneaut Area  3-2. The  win was just what Franklin needed coming off of  a  15-2 loss in their prior  matchup.
  Drew Kockler was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Ryan McCandless, who  went 2-for-3 with a  double.
 Grove City's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Franklin,  the  win  got them back to even at 2-2.
 Grove City beat Franklin 12-8  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023. Does  Grove City have another victory up their sleeve, or will Franklin turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
