Softball Recap: Lake Dallas Drops Season-High Score on Ranchview

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Dallas). They never let the Ranchview Wolves get on the board and left with a 22-0 win on Monday. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Zoey Christensen made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Alisha Christensen was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Ashtynn Attaway was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Lake Dallas always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .829. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lake Dallas' victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Ranchview, their loss was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Lake Dallas will have a chance to go back-to-back against Ranchview: the pair will be back at it again later today.
