Basketball Recap: Bethel Assembly Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Bethel Assembly Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. The game between them and the Victory Christian Eagles didn't end well, with the Bethel Assembly Christian Academy Eagles falling 73-59. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Bethel Assembly Christian Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-43 two weeks ago.

Despite the loss, Bethel Assembly Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from McKinley Conner, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 23 rebounds. Conner has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 14 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Peyton Liverman, who posted 24 points.

Even though they lost, Bethel Assembly Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 29 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 14 consecutive contests.

Bethel Assembly Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Victory Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Suffolk Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Bethel Assembly Christian Academy will host Suffolk Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Victory Christian will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
